CM throws bouquets at party’s development agenda

 

 

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government has always protected the national interests and its mission is the selfless service of the people of Pakistan.

He said that PML-N government is striving to resolve problems of the common man and work is being carried out expeditiously on development projects of billions of rupees in rural and urban areas. He said that the purpose of development projects and welfare programmes of the government is to raise the living standard of the citizens and provide maximum relief to masses. He said that PML-N leadership considers politics as a form of worship but some elements motivated by personal interests are trying to create hurdles in the process of progress and prosperity of the common man. However, he said, 18 crore people of the country will not allow anyone to hinder the journey of development and prosperity. Shehbaz Sharif said that the people have rejected the elements that are opposing the projects of public welfare.

The chief minister expressed these views while talking to a delegation of PML-N, headed by former member of the National Assembly Hanif Abbasi on Monday. The chief minister said that development activities are being carried out in both urban and rural areas and that the effectiveness of the steps is being improved through input from the public’s representatives. He said that modern transport facilities are being provided to rural populous through carpeted farm-to-market roads under Khadim-e-Punjab Rural Roads programme. He said that rural economy will flourish with the completion of the Rs 150-billion project and the standard of living of the rural population will be transformed.
