Pervaiz urges opposition to respect PML-N’s mandate

Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed has said that the opposition has unleashed negative propaganda over the issue of Panama Leaks.

Talking to media in Shakargarh, Okara on Sunday, he said the opposition is doing politics of false and baseless allegations. The minister said that the allegations of corruption against Nawaz Sharif could not be proven in the tenure of Pervaiz Musharraf and that no one can point finger at the integrity of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

He said that the inquiry commission will bring the truth to light and everything will be clarified.

Earlier, addressing a function in Okara, the information minister said that several power projects are being completed in the country to overcome the power crisis.

Pervaiz Rasheed said that during the next two years power generation projects will produce substantial electricity and load shedding will be eliminated by 2018.The minister said that more gas is being imported from Qatar, Turkmenistan and Iran to meet the growing energy needs of the country.

He said that the law and order situation in the country is much better than it was three years ago and that Pakistan is a different country now.

The minister said that the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PMLN) accepted the mandate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in Sindh but its mandate is not being accepted.
