Pakistan and Mauritius agree to strengthen bilateral ties

Pakistan and Mauritius have agreed to further strengthen bilateral relations in political, economic and other fields.

The agreement came during talks between President Mamnoon Hussain and his Mauritius counterpart Dr Bibi Ameenah Firdaus at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Monday.

Regional situation and international issues also came under discussion during the meeting. Earlier, a formal welcome ceremony for the Mauritius president was held.

Mamnoon Hussain welcomed the distinguished guest and her nine- member delegation on arrival at Aiwan-e-Sadr. Children presented flower bouquets to the visiting dignitary.

National anthems of the two countries were played and a contingent of smartly turned out troops from the three services presented guard of honour to Dr. Bibi Ameenah Firdaus.
