Actor Randeep Hooda shared that being straightforward is the reason behind his slow progress in the Indian film industry. In an interview for his upcoming film Laal Rang, the actor claimed that his humour is often misunderstood and frowned upon.
“I am outspoken and that is the reason I have had a slow progress in the industry. I try to be diplomatic but you can get the boy out of Haryana but not the Haryana out of the boy,” said Randeep. “People don’t understand my humour and misunderstand me. Sooner or later, they know I mean no harm and I am a good man.”
About the success he has found in the film industry despite being an outsider, Hooda said, “Actors can deal with failure but they don’t know how to deal with success. How to fake humbleness and fake respect — the industry kids know it very well.” The Kick star went on to say that he cannot do such things. “I achieved success on my own and that has brought about a different confidence.”
