Adviser to Prime Minister Ameer Muqam has demanded the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to resign on moral grounds after the managing director of the Bank of Khyber accused Finance Minister Muzaffar Said of making political appointments and holding political gatherings on the bank’s expenses.
During a press conference the other day, Muqam criticised PTI Chairman Imran Khan and Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq for blaming others while their own ministers were involved in corrupt practices. He also criticized KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak who called for an enquiry into the BoK issue.
“If a government organisation publishes an advertisement against its own minister then there is no need of judicial enquiry and the government should morally resign,” Muqam said.
Muqam said that BoK is not JI’s property and the masses would not let the party misuse the bank’s premises for political gatherings.
