A Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf delegation led by the party’s central leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi visited the residence of Aftab Ahmed Sherpao to discuss the party’s stand on Panama Papers scandal.

Senator Shibli Faraz and Mufti Saeed also accompanied Shah Mehmood Qureshi in the meeting with Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) chief Aftab Sherpao.

Qureshi called the government’s allegation of ‘conspiracy to derail democracy, against PTI as ‘malicious.’ “PTI doesn’t want to derail the democratic system, neither it will act against it in future,” Qureshi said.

He said the PTI opposes the government proposed enquiry commission headed by a retired judge. He said the QWP has backed the PTI stance over the issue.

QWP leader Aftab Sherpao lauded the PTI’s consultation process over the issue adding that his party backs the PTI stance on the inquiry commission. He, however, made it clear that his party will not take part in the siege and sit-in at Raiwind.

Shah Mehmood clarified that his party will not stage any sit-in on April 24, but will celebrate the PTI’s foundation day peacefully on that day.

He said Imran Khan’s visit to London was planned a month ago and it has nothing to with any so-called ‘London Plan’.
