PTI chairman Imran Khan has criticised the government over failed operation against Chotu gang citing politicisation and end of merit reasons for dismal police performance.
Khan used social media platform to criticise the provincial government.
He accused provincial government of politicisation and dubbed it as reason behind police’s failure against organised criminals in Kacha Jamal area.
He stated that professionalism was destroyed in Punjab Police after government did not care about merit.
Government, negligent of merit is responsible for lives of police personnel lost in Rajanpur, he added.
He utilized the opportunity to detach practices of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police with those of Punjab Police. Khan stated that personnel were recruited in police in PTI-led province through NTS test.
He also said that the KP Police is depoliticised and professional unlike Punjab Police.
On the other hand, after police’s failure in operation against Chotu gang army has stepped in to handle the situation. More than 600 army troops reached Kacha Jamal One and Kacha Jamal Two areas on Friday.
At least 40 dacoits and miscreants have laid down weapons so far after army’s participation in the offensive.
Professionalism of Punjab police has been destroyed by end of merit & politicisation. Punjab govt uses police for pol victimisation. 1/3
