Choto-Gang is a notorious gang which is dominating in Rajan-pur and border areas. It is involved in ransom, kidnapping, killing, murder and decoities. This was tried hard to be eradicated and the writ of state was also tried to be maintained however our law enforcement agencies apparently seem to have failed in establishing state writ in this area. An operation was launched against this gang and our law enforcement agencies entered into kacha jamal. It proved a fatal mistake as six of security personnel were murdered and 20 were held hostage and around 100 of them were left injured. This is a sorry state of affairs that a group of some miscreants has challenged the writ of state and is found involved in many offences and state is unable to tackle this. As operation couldn’t kill these miscreants and security personnel were held hostage and now army has been called to handle this situation. This is simply pathetic. A year back, there was Sohail Zafar Chattha, DPO Rajan-pur, who had given very tough time to this gang and this gang was unable to actualize their nefarious designs but now things are difficult to handle. Our state has to give an effective and active response so that such gangs could never be able to challenge the writ of the state anymore.
