Apple collaborates with WWF to launch apps for Earth

Apple has teamed up with WWF to launch Apps for Earth on its App Store. Apple has announced that users can access these exclusive apps, created for the campaign till April 24. These 24 apps are designed with the idea of conservation of forests, oceans, fresh water and wildlife, food and climate change in mind.

During the campaign, all the proceeds from the purchase of Apps for Earth apps or an associated In-App Purchase will go to WWF. Also, Apple launched a revamped apple.com/environment page.

Starting today, Apple plans to colour the leaf of the Apple logo to green at 132 stores around the world and employees will wear green t-shirts. In the US, Apple stores will switch to paper shopping bags made from 80 per cent recycled material.

Here is a list of few Apps for Earth:

Angry Birds 2 focuses on protecting oceans with a limited-time event that includes three exclusive levels and an all-new power-up.

Best Fiends: Players can engage in an Apps for Earth quest consisting of puzzle levels set in the Yangtze River region in China. To help solve the puzzles, players can purchase unique Panda Pals for a limited-time.

Candy Crush Soda Saga: It features a live in-game event, Bamboo Hill, which players can experience on the weekends of April 15 and April 21.

Cooking Dash 2016: The game features “Eats for Earth” show.

Cut the Rope: It offers puzzle levels where Om Nom transforms into a panda.

Disney Infinity: Toy Box 3.0: Users can purchase Apps for Earth bundle consisting of Nick, Judy and Baloo figures, as well as Power Disks.

Dragon City: The game features Panda Island, which includes six new dragons.

Hay Day: Users can purchase a new Bag of Diamonds from the game’s shop to receive an exclusive Panda Statue decoration and more.

Hearthstone: Players can purchase the new hero, Kahadgar.

Jurassic World: The Game: It will feature new dinosaurs, decorations, energy-generating turbines and more.

Kendall & Kylie: Players can participate in a new in-game quest and event supporting water conservation. Also, they can take and share selfies inside the WWF selfie booth.

Other apps include LINE, LINE: Disney Tsum Tsum, Map My Run+, MARVEL Contest of Champions, Peak, Procreate, Recolor, SimCity BuildIt, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, The Earth by Tinybop, Trivia Crack and more.
