Senior Minister for Local Government Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inayatullah Khan on Friday said that the provincial government would provide Rs. 45 billion to local governments for projects of public welfare.
Addressing local government representatives and tribal elders in district Swat, he said that the government has already released Rs. 30 billion to local governments this year and would increase the amount in the next fiscal year.
He said that the provincial government has introduced the best local government system in the province and devolved powers to the lower level for resolution of masses’ problems at their doorstep.
On the occasion, the minister approved general bus stand and vegetable market for Tehsil Municipal Administration Kabal and assured provision of funds for the projects in next fiscal budget.
