Federal Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan has urged the SAARC countries to bring down non-tariff barriers to pursue greater economic integration in the region.
Talking to the representatives of the SAARC Chambers of Commerce and Industry on Friday, the minister said trade enhancement in the region required bold initiatives. He said Pakistan implemented numerous trade facilitation measures to support Afghan transit trade. The minister said that Pakistan had an understanding with Sri Lanka to further expand bilateral free trade agreement which would boost trade between the two countries.
