Two ‘al-Qaeda-linked terrorists’ killed in CTD operation

As many as two suspected terrorists were killed and one arrested in police raid in Karachi on Wednesday.

The counter-terrorism department conducted a raid on information about hideout of al-Qaeda-linked terrorists in Gadap Town area on outskirts of Karachi. On seeing police, terrorists opened fire and the exchange of fire continued for two hours during which two terrorists were killed and one was arrested. A large quantity of ammunition and explosive material was recovered from their possession. Sources in the CTD said that the killed terrorists belonged to al-Qaeda’s subcontinent wing, identified as Rehan and Hammad, were involved in attacks on police and Rangers.
