Corruption and bad governance of the rulers is tantamount to negation of the constitution of Pakistan, said Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) General Secretary Liaquat Baloch.

Addressing the annual gathering of Masoora University Hala the other day, he said that rulers of Pakistan were rejecting the constitution of Pakistan as they were not ready to give the fundamental rights to the people of Pakistan. He said the rulers had betrayed the founding fathers of the constitution.

Baloch further said that disunity and distrust amongst religious parties of Pakistan was encouraging the liberal powers, adding his party was struggling for the unity of religious elements and implementation of the Islamic laws in the country as per the constitution of Pakistan. He said that conspiracies were being hatched to damage the ideological and cultural identity of Pakistan and its people.

Baloch said they did not accept the Women Protection Bill of Punjab as it was very controversial. He said the promotion of western culture and values in the name of women’s freedom was the part of a dark conspiracy against this nation. He said the Panama Leaks was the punishment for those who failed to give Mumtaz Qadri due justice. He said the opposition parties demanded that the government should establish a commission under sitting judges in order investigation into the Panama Leaks disclosures.

Liaquat Baloch said that the prime minister of Iceland had the moral courage to resign but our rulers lack this character.
