Three-day Besakhi Mela started at Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib in Hasanabdal on Wednesday. More than 5,000 Sikh pilgrims including 2,100 from India are participating in the event. The Indian Sikh pilgrims arrived by special trains to participate in the mela.
The pilgrims during their three days stay in Pakistan will perform their religious rituals. They are being provided all kinds of facilities by the government of Pakistan. Elaborate arrangements have been made to provide security to the pilgrims.
