Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen on Monday detached himself with intra-party elections, saying he cannot see division in the party.
Jahangir Tareen in a statement said he always supported Imran Khan and his stance. He said that he has never demanded any post in PTI and would never do so. He stated he cannot see division in the party at any cost.
PTI leader said that Imran Khan has decided to bash Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PTI) for which, the increasing party problems should be resolved.
He said he would not participate in intra-party elections and will continue to serve the country like a normal worker. He further appealed all the members to unite PTI and work together.
On the other hand, Aleem Khan has also disassociated himself with the intra-party elections.
Earlier, PTI Nazriati Group comprises of Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Hamid Khan advocate, Shafqat Mahmood, Dr Yasmin Rashid and Waleed Iqbal made it clear that its workers will not let the party become “PTI-Q” by bringing the political orphans at the helm of affairs in the party.
Shah Mehmood said intra-party elections would also lead to the selection of candidates for next general elections in 2018.
