Tarman Group of Turkey’s Chief Executive Officer Murat Tarman along with famous Turkish architect, Talip Cankiri and Mehmet Arpaci, Tarman Group’s International Business Manager visited Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) on Sunday.
PBIT Chairman Abdul Basit and Haroon Shaukat received the delegation along with other senior PBIT officials.
The PBIT gave a detailed presentation on investment opportunities in Punjab and explained the benefits of investing in energy, agriculture, livestock and private housing.
Abdul Basit told the delegation that Turkey was a true friend of Pakistan and the PBIT would facilitate Tarman Group in every possible way.
While, Tarman said that he had keen interest in investing in Pakistan, especially Punjab, and was amazed by the diverse and rich culture of Punjab.
The delegation showed keen interest in renewable energy quoting that Pakistan had abundant sunshine to produce solar energy. The group was also interested in setting up a solar manufacturing plant.
Tarman elaborated that Tarman Group was one of the leading companies in Turkey and the Group’s brands reach 81 cities in Turkey and were exported to the United States, Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and to the Far East. The Tarman Group also had partnerships with Turkey’s foremost cement companies, most notably with Bursa imento.
Briefing the delegates, Abdul Basit said Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) had been on the forefront attracting foreign investments and facilitating trade partnerships. It had proven itself as one of the most effective organization currently operating in Punjab, he said and added that PBIT represented Punjab in foreign business seminars and had been successful in bringing home major investments. By attracting potential international investors, PBIT was fulfilling the promise of a prosperous Punjab, he concluded.
