Punjab Excise and Taxation Minister Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman said the provincial government is making every effort to provide necessary facilities to the skilled workers and manufacturers and a process of imparting different technical and professional courses to the youth has been started, so that industrial sector could make further progress and job opportunities could be made available to the people.
He expressed these views during his visit to 3rd Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Expo on the second day of the three-day event.
LCCI President Sheikh Muhammad Arshad, Senior Vice President Almas Hyder, Vice President Nasir Saeed and the executive committee members were present on the occasion.
The provincial minister said that holding of mega exhibition by the LCCI was a good omen and proof to the fact that Pakistani businessmen were one of the bests in the international market.
Mian Mujtaba-ur-Rehman congratulated the LCCI President Muhammad Arshad, Senior Vice President Almas Hyder and Vice President Nasir Saeed for holding such a mega event and assured full cooperation of the Punjab government. The minister also visited different stalls and appreciated the quality of items and expertise of the business community.
The LCCI office-bearers were of the view that the 3rd LCCI Expo would not only pave way for much-needed foreign investment in the country but also give a good message to the world. They also pledged to hold such events in future in the larger interest of the country, adding that dream of economic stability could come true in short span of time through public-private partnership.
They said that Punjab government had not only become LCCI partner for the 3rd LCCI expo but had always extended best cooperation to Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The LCCI expo attracted a large number of visitors belonging to all segments of the society. More than 10,000 people from Pakistan and abroad visited the mega event and were pleasantly surprised to see the best quality of Pakistani products. The expo would end on Sunday.
