Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has urged the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) officials to keep up the good efforts for revenue generation during the last quarter to meet the target set for fiscal year 2015-16.
He was holding a meeting with the FBR team led by Chairman Nisar Mohammad Khan on Saturday in Islamabad.
The minister also discussed with the FBR team the third and final phasing out plan for withdrawal of concessionary regime. Meanwhile, the finance minister also chaired a briefing session to review preparations for World Bank/IMF spring meetings being held in Washington from April 15-17. Schedule of finance minister’s engagements during stay at Washington were reviewed and finalised.
The minister will also meet senior US leadership and finance ministers of other countries in Washington.
