Drawing the Line

A press conference of some political persons has appeared in local newspapers, in which they have tried to malign the Pakistan’s admired philanthropic institution Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre for their ulterior motives. The hospital is rendering a great service to treat poor cancer patients for the last two decades. This hospital is the only hope for thousands of indigent cancer patients receiving latest high-quality treatment free of cost. It is also noted that another Shaukat Khanum Hospital has started functioning recently. The online audited accounts report of the hospital clearly indicates the transparency in accounts. If someone has something to prove any wrongdoings of the hospital, he should go to the courts. I request the politicians not to settle their political points for their personal gains against a reputable charity institution. Any damage to these two hospitals will ultimately lead to havoc situation for thousands of cancer patients being treated there.
