The Punjab chief minister has decided to extend the Dolphin Police Force to four other cities.
According to details, Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif was all praises for the Dolphin Force, saying it had instilled a sense of protection and security in the people. During a meeting with senior government officials, Sharif announced that the Dolphin Force will be extended to four other cities – Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi.
“Dolphin Force has helped in controlling street crimes,” he said.
Sharif also gave directions that a system to monitor the performance of Dolphin Force be set up. He stated that Dolphin awards will be distributed to those who perform their duties well.
The Dolphin Force is an elite security unit established by the Punjab chief minister after a similar force in Turkey provided him with the inspiration to create one in Punjab as well. Security officials on Honda CB motorbikes patrol the streets of Lahore, keeping an eye out for hardened criminals and their malicious activities.
