After the success of Kapoor & Sons, Fawad Khan is busy shooting his scenes for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, the anticipated Karan Johar’s rom-com. What is interesting is that, his role as a DJ may not be so brief anymore, which is why the shoot may take longer than initially planned.
According to media, a close source to the production has said, “Fawad has become a star after Kapoor & Sons. His role, which was more of an extended guest appearance in ADHM has been altered. Now, it won’t just be a cameo, it’s almost as much as Salman’s role in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. So, Fawad will be seen in a supporting role, not a cameo, even in the film credits.”
The source also dished on other reasons for Fawad’s ‘promotion’: “Fawad and Karan are extremely close friends now and besides, Fawad is a big draw across the border and in the Middle East. He is a big draw in certain overseas markets, so through him, ADHM will reach a bigger audience.”
Guess we now have one more reason to watch Ae Dil Hai Mushkil! The film’s lead cast includes Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor. It is slated for an October 2016 release.
