Fazl is happy with PM’s judicial commission

Announcing its support for the judicial commission announced by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Central Amir of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Wednesday asked the opposition parties to let the commission investigate the allegations and then decide their plan of action.

Addressing a press conference at the party secretariat, he termed the findings of Panama Papers mere allegations and urged leaders of political parties to wait until they have been investigated and proven true or false.

He said that the looted money should be brought back to the country so that it could get pay back massive loans taken from national and international lenders. “It would provide jobs and stablise the economy apart from bringing foreign investment home,” he said.

WOMAN PROECTION ACT:

Talking about the Women Protection Act, he said that negotiation was going on with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and that it would yield positive results.

A four-member committee comprising of Maulana Sajid Mir, Maulana Fazal Haqqani, Asadullah Bhutto and Kamran Murtaza has been formed for negotiation. The committee will hold talks with the CM and will convey the party’s concerns to him, he said.

About the extension of Customs Act to Malakand Division, he said JUI-F supported what people had demanded. He said that his party will extend support to the people of the division and will resist extension of the Act to the militancy ridden valley.

He said that environment was suitable for restoring MMA, an alliance of religious parties and said that his party was open to working on it.
