Education and Punishment

Since times immemorial, societies flourished or fell pari passu  with rise or fall in quality of their education.  For ages, stick and carrot was the norm for disciplining non-adaptive students. But times have changed. Now Pak educational institutions abide by dictates of BF Skinner’s positive enforcement theory. Corporal punishment is a taboo. Infinity is the upper limit to integral of students’ disobedience.

To restore sheen of our educational system, corporal punishment in modest quantity should be allowed. Of course there must be a supervisory system (video surveillance) to ensure that the punishment is surgical and rare.
