Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday sought educational record of Pakistan Muslim League Q MNA Khadim Hussain from Punjab University, adjourning the hearing till May 4.
A five-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali heard the case. Counsel for applicant Khawaja Harris, while giving arguments informed the court that there is difference in name on degree and the MNA’s real name. He added that there are pictures from his college years which the court can see. The chief justice replied that degrees and not pictures are required for education.
Justice Mian Saqib Nisar said joke of public representative with education is unacceptable, adding that the court has no sympathy with fake degree holders. He further said the court would examine that how much fair the public representatives are. The court while seeking educational record of the applicant adjourned the hearing until May 4.
