Rawalpindi Arts Council arranged inauguration ceremony of a novel titled Loug Kya Kahein Gey, written by young novelist Kamran Ahmed on Tuesday at Adabi Baithak of the council.
Famous fiction writer and critic Hameed Shahid presided over the ceremony and Additional Commissioner Coordination Rawalpindi Tariq Mehmood Tariq was the chief guest while Professor Dr Ravish Nadeem was the guest of honor.
Addressing the launching ceremony, Additional Commissioner Coordination Rawalpindi Tariq Mehmood said that it is an appreciable step to highlight social issues through writings, adding that a writer gave a reflection of the society and the novel sheds light on a bitter reality of our society.
Fiction writer Hameed Shahid said that Kamran Ahmed has seen the society with different angle which made him different from other young writers. He said Kamran’s first step in the field of novel has turned out to be a success.
Professor Dr. Ravish Nadeem said that Kamran Ahmed representing a segment of the society gave a name to his novel “Loug Kya Kahein Gey” which is a complete picture of our society.
Resident Director Waqar Ahmed in his welcome address said that Kamran Ahmed has highlighted social issues with a different perspective. Senior poet Naseem-e-Saher also shared his views on the novel.
