Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Farooq Sattar has expressed his apprehension that certain elements are targeting and intimidating the MQM voters prior to the NA-245 by-elections in Karachi.
Sattar addressed a press conference on Tuesday and demanded that the federal and provincial governments should hold a transparent inquiry regarding attacks carried out against the Muttahida workers. The government needed to ensure that the by-elections were held in a free and fair manner, he demanded.
Sattar said that the Election Commission had been intimated about certain elements’ activities against the MQM.
