Law enforcement agencies foiled a terror bid by defusing 12 kg explosives on Rabi Canal-Chattar Road near Dera Murad Jamali on Sunday.
Police officials said that acting on a tip-off, law enforcement agencies rushed to the site and defused 12 kg explosives.
They said that unidentified saboteurs had planted the explosives and wanted to carry out a random act of terror remotely. Further probe is underway.
Meanwhile, the Frontier Corps along with sensitive agencies destroyed hideouts of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Zhob area and seized arms and ammunition.
According to the FC spokesperson, the law enforcers raided hideouts of the TTP in Kakal area of Zhob and recovered arms and ammunition, including rifles 303 (5), ammunition (800), and LMG ammunition (70).
Earlier in an operation in Saruna area of Kalat the other day, the FC in exchange of fire killed two terrorists of the banned LeB.
