Haram meat seized, accused arrested in Muzaffargarh

The livestock department seized a huge quantity of Haram meat and arrested an accused here on Sunday.

On a tip-off regarding transportation of dead meat, a team of livestock department along with police started snap checking of vehicles moving from and to Muzaffargarh. During search of a vehicle leaving the city five maunds of forbidden meat was recovered.

The recovered meat which was being carried to Multan was taken into custody which was later disposed off. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and the police after registering a case against him started raids to detain other culprits involved in the illegal practice.
