A teenage girl was burnt to death while his brother received severe burn injuries when unidentified men set a house on fire on Saturday.
Police said that unknown culprits had set a house on fire which was owned by Badar Din Sheikh, located near Shahi Bagh area in Shikarpur, and escaped from the scene. As a result of fire, 17-year-old Irum was burnt alive while her brother received server burn injuries.
The body and the scorched youth were shifted to Civil Hospital Shikarpur where the wounded youngster was referred to Sukkur due to his critical condition. The police said the incident seemed to be outcome of old rivalry, however, owner of the house denied the police claims and said that their family had not any enmity with any person or group. The police, after registering a case into the incident at respective police station, started an investigation into the case.
