Rangers kill two drug smugglers trying to cross over into India

The paramilitary force killed two drug smugglers at Wagah border in an exchange of fire after they tried to illegally cross border and flee after being stopped on Saturday.

Spokesman of Rangers said that the paramilitary force signaled to stop two suspects at Wagah border but instead of stopping they opened fire and tried to escape. In retaliatory firing of security personnel, both smugglers were killed on the spot.

Huge quantity of drugs was recovered from their possession. The bodies of the smugglers were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities where their identities were yet to be ascertained.
