Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Federal Interior Minister Chauhdry Nisar Ali Khan held a detailed meeting with Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Thursday night.
According to reports, the army chief and the two top ruling party leaders agreed to continue indiscriminate action against terrorists and their facilitators in Punjab. Details of the ongoing drive against militant outfits were finalised in the meeting, they added.
Shehbaz Sharif, who had travelled from Lahore, held a 45-minute-long consultation with Chaudhry Nisar at the airport before heading to the Army House in Rawalpindi where they met with General Sharif, the sources said.
They said it was decided in the meeting that the Punjab government would be informed before and after each operation against terrorists in the province.
The meeting lasted for two and a half hours after which both Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Shehbaz Sharif called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to inform him about their meeting with the Army Chief.
A paramilitary crackdown had been launched in Punjab after the deadly Lahore bombing that killed at least 72 people at Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park on Easter Sunday.
According to well-informed sources, the military crackdown was launched against banned terrorist outfits across the country’s most populous province.
The anti-terror crackdown has been launched on the orders of the Army chief and troops from the Army and Rangers are taking part in the crackdown.
A military statement had said the decision was taken at a high-level military meeting headed by the Army chief, and also attended by DG Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and DG Military Intelligence (MI).
we all know that every political Party in p Pakistan its own militant wing so,our leaders are never interested in any operation launched against for peace or for the protection of common as in Punjab N-league is running its militant wing under Rana SanaUlah thats why they want to be told by to be informed by the military before the operation which will bring a complete failure to any effort agianst the terrorist and criminals in Punjab.
I am sure only one person, the man out of three, talked and the other two listened. The Man is General Raheel Sharif.
