Justice and Democratic Party (JDP) chief and former chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has questioned that how the PML-N government can secure the country when they could not secure Lahore.

If the government cannot discharge its responsibilities then it should go home, he said.

The former CJP said that the government spent billion of rupees on various projects in Lahore but the life and property of citizens of Lahore is not safe. He further said that the government registered case of Pathankot incident against its own citizens on one phone call.

He was talking to media here Friday after visiting Jinnah hospital to inquire about the health of those injured in Gulshan-e-Iqbal incident.

He underlined that Rangers and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) along with security agencies should have launched operation earlier in Punjab. He lauded the Rangers for conducting successful operations in Sindh.

While commenting on the arrest of Kulbashan Yadav, he said it was a big achievement but the government has not responded to the development.
