Punjab crackdown intensified, police arrest over 50 suspects


Police arrested over 50 suspects from different parts of Punjab as it intensified its crackdown against terrorists after the Lahore Bombing which killed at least 74 people on Sunday.

During a search operation at Sargodha and Factory Area, police arrested 43 suspects.

Police searched hostels and seminaries in Chiniot and arrested 10 people. The suspects belonged to Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, police said.

A proclaimed offender Khurram Butt was arrested from Lahore on Friday, police said.
