Punjab Minister for Food Bilal Yasin has said that the nation is fully united under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and expressed the hope that although the war against terrorism was long yet the nation would win it as the army had complete support of the people and government.
He expressed these views while distributing cheques of financial assistance of Rs 1.5 lakh among nine people who were injured in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park blast at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Thursday. He was accompanied by TMO Shalamar Town Malik Tariq and the hospital’s MS.
Talking to journalists, Yasin said that the morale of the people was high and terrorists could not succeed in their nefarious designs through cowardly acts. He said that those committing un-Islamic acts in the garb of religion cannot be called Muslims.
The minister said the PML-N leadership was fighting against terrorism and standing with the Pak army. He said that the sacrifices of army officers and jawans were proof of this fact that they were ready to safeguard the motherland and the time was not far when terrorism would be rooted out.
Yasin directed the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital MS to provide free treatment to the injured so that they should not face any problem.
