Hot April for Karachi as temperature expected to hit 40 degrees: Met Department  

The Met Department has forecast an extremely hot April for Karachi with mercury expected to hit the 40°C mark.

The forecast says that parts of Sindh will face extreme heat in April with mercury crossing the 40°C mark in some areas.

The met department has forecast rains and thundershowers in the country including Lahore during Friday to Sunday.

According to a spokesman of Met office a westerly wave presently producing rains over Iran and Afghanistan is likely to enter Pakistan on Friday.

Under the influence of this weather system widespread rain thundershowers (with isolated heavy falls) and snowfall over the high mountains is expected in Malakand, Hazara divisions, Gilgit Baltistan & Kashmir on Friday evening to Sunday.

Heavy downpour may trigger landslides in the vulnerable areas of Upper KP GB & AJK.

Scattered rain thunderstorm is expected in Islamabad FATA KP and Upper Punjab during the week end.

Rain dust thunder showers are also expected at a few places of D.G.Khan, Multan, Faisalabad, Sahiwal and Lahore divisions on Saturday, Sunday, he added.
