Minister of State for Health Services, Saira Afzal Tarar has said that the government is making substantial efforts to improve and promote herbal medicines in the country.
Addressing a ceremony on Thursday, she said the regulations notified recently will help to raise the standard of herbal medicines according to international requirements.
The minister expressed satisfaction that Pakistan’s herbal medicines and food supplements are now being exported to US, Canada, Middle East and to other developed countries.
She further said that World Health Organization (WHO) on our request is sending a technical mission to Pakistan which will help us to achieve required standard.
