The Environment Wing of Capital Development Authority (CDA) completed cleaning of D-Chowk following the end of the four day sit-in.
Member Environment of CDA Sanaullah Aman said that teams of Environment and Sanitation have participated in the cleanliness drive.
The member said that the teams have collected huge garbage from the site of sit-in including polythine bags, disposable glasses among other things.
He said that the protesters have damaged the green belts and fresh pennaries of seasonal flowers and also burnt about 100 flowerpots of precious imported flowers.
It is pertinent to mention here that some religious parties had staged sit-in on March 27, damaged the Metro stations and other public property which had ended last night.
