Drama Queen signs ‘Strip Tease’ with Rawalpindi Express

Is it finally happening? Did social media sensation Qandeel Baloch finally land a role in a Mahesh Bhatt movie?

The Pakistani, who has asked people ‘how em looking?’ finally has a chance to showcase her ‘talent’ on a different platform.

The male lead is reportedly none other than Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar, who coincidentally was looking to start his film career and now is finally going to be making a debut with Ms Baloch.

According to unconfirmed reports, both the stars signed a contract for the film late on Thursday.

The flick, titled ‘Strip Tease’, is reportedly inspired from Qandeel Baloch’s video which went viral after she offered to strip for the national cricket team if it won the T20 match against India.

To her fortunate luck (and many people’s unfortunate) that didn’t happen.

Following that, rumour has it that the story is going to be about a ‘struggling actress’ (Qandeel) and how she managed to become such a sensation on the social media. Her outrageous statements and extremely divisive antics, which have been written about extensively, derided and supported for her sometimes amusing, sometimes hilarious but always entertaining comments via her blogs, will be part of the script.

In a recent appearance on a talk show on a local news channel, Qandeel was questioned about her appeal to move to India. To which she replied, ‘Mein kya keron, Pakistan mein mujhey mar deyin gay. Mujhey koi toh jaga jana hoga jahan mein safe hoon gi (What can I do, If I stay in Pakistan, people are going to kill me. I have to go somewhere where it’s safe)’

Could it be a stunt to promote the movie?

Looks like only time will tell.

MEANWHILE, HAPPY APRIL FOOL’S DAY!
