Doctors and members of the civil society organised a candle-lighting ceremony in the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) on Thursday to express solidarity with the bereaved families of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park Lahore incident.
Singer Shehzad Roy, Prof Junaid Asharf, Prof Amjid Siraj, Prof Saeed Qureshi, Dr Bilal, Medical Superintendent, Civil Hospital Karachi, Jameel Ahmed Siddiqui, Dr Abdul Qadir Siddiqui, Dr Ghulam Mujtaba Memon, Dr Asad Awan, Akhlaq Ahmed Khan, Salamti Khokhar and others attended the ceremony held at Surgical Unit-III, CHK.
While talking to media, Roy said there was no nation in this world which had undergone this much pain. He said the Pakistanis were the bravest nation of the world. He hoped that they would come out from this menace of terrorism very soon. He urged the rulers and general public to learn from the past mistakes. Sindh Doctor’s Welfare Association (SDWA) President Dr Ghulam Mujtaba Memon said light a candle event was arranged to show solidarity with families of the victims of Gulshan-e-Iqabl Park incident.
Sindh Paramedical Staff Welfare Association Central President Akhlaq Ahmed Khan strongly condemned the loss of precious lives in the bomb and vowed that all the conspiracies to divide the nation would be foiled.
