Young Doctors Association (YDA) on Wednesday staged a rally and held a protest demonstration in front of Jinnah hospital against the VIP culture in hospitals.
The office bearers of the YDA including its media coordinator, Dr.Khuram Shehzad, said that the VIP culture is damaging the process of medical treatment to patients. He said that on the arrival of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Jinnah Hospital to enquire after the blast victims on Tuesday, the staff of the hospital including doctors who were treating the blast victims remained restricted for around four hours outside the hospital. He said that no extra protocol should be given to anyone at the cost of patients’ health.
He urged the government to look into the matter in interest of the patients.
