Govt to increase South Punjab budget, says finance minister

A delegation from tribal areas of DG Khan led by Sardar Rehmat Khan Khuzdar called on Provincial Minister for Finance Dr. Ayesha Ghaus Pasha at Punjab Assembly Chamber.

The meeting apprised the minister of problems of the area and public reservations. Sardar Rehmat Khan Khuzdar informed the minister that five solar plants are being set up in DG Khan for which existing resources are insufficient. He requested Dr. Ayesha Ghaus Pasha to increase the share allocated for tribal areas in the next budget so that potable water facility could be provided to the people of the area. Members of the delegation also informed the minister about financial difficulties faced by the TMAs.

Dr. Ayesha Ghaus Pasha assured Sardar Rehmat Khan Khuzdar that the next budget will not only increase their resources but also convey a message of progress and prosperity for them. She said that clean water is basic right of people of DG Khan and they will not be deprived of their right adding that the Punjab government will not neglect any district of South Punjab including DG Khan.

Sardar Rehmat Khan Khuzdar, expressing satisfaction over the steps of Punjab government, appreciated the vision of the Punjab chief minister and assured of complete cooperation on behalf of the tribes.

The delegation included Sardar Rehmat Khan Khuzdar, Haji Toor Khan Khuzdar, Hayat Muhammad Khan Khuzdar and Rafique Ahmed Khuzdar.
