Cheques distributed among the injured of park blast

On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Health Khawaja Salman Rafique distributed cheques of financial assistance among the injured of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park bombing who are under treatment at Jinnah Hospital.

Cheques worth Rs 300,000 each were given to those seriously injured in the attack while those with minor injuries received cheques worth Rs 150,000

Talking to media, Kh. Salman Rafique said that Punjab government is providing financial assistance to the families of those killed in the attack. Sindh and Balochistan chief ministers during their visit to Jinnah Hospital have also announced financial assistance for the injured, he said.

Dr. Shafqat told that at present, 57 injured persons are under treatment in the hospital while other patients have been discharged and had gone to their homes. Kh. Salman Rafique said that government will provide financial assistance to all injured persons and cheques of financial assistance will be delivered at the houses of the patients who had gone to their homes.

The adviser said that the entire nation is determined to root out the menace of terrorism. He lauded the doctors and nurses for providing medical aid and treatment facilities to the injured on war footing.
