Punjab Chief Secretary Khizar Hayat Gondal has directed all divisional commissioners to improve mechanism for dengue surveillance and reporting and take special measures for ensuring availability of anti-mosquito spray.
He was presiding over a video-link meeting regarding dengue control at Civil Secretariat on Wednesday.
Addressing the meeting, the chief secretary said all necessary arrangements, including procurement of insecticides and recruitment of staff should be completed in time. He said concerted efforts were needed to eradicate dengue once and for all.
He directed all secretaries to extend full cooperation in anti-dengue activities and ensure full participation in anti-dengue day to be observed throughout the province on April 6.
