Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that privatisation of PIA is part of the government’s reforms agenda. He was briefing the parliamentary committee formed to review PIA privatisation bill on Tuesday. He said the government wanted strategic partnership for betterment of the airline. He said 26 per cent shares and hotels of the airline would not be sold. Similarly, the PIA employees would also not be sent home, he said. The PIA suffered a loss of Rs 7.75 billion despite reduction in petroleum prices, he added.
