People around the world share #PrayForPakistan after blast in Lahore

People across the world shared messages of solidarity after at least 72 people were killed and more than 233 injured when a suicide bomb ripped through a crowded park in Lahore where Christians were celebrating Easter on Sunday.

Shortly after the blast, people began sharing a sketch of the Minar-e-Paristan with the hashtag, #PrayForLahore. A host of politicians and celebrities took to social media to condemn Sunday’s suicide blast.

World leaders condemn the attack in strongest terms

“Following the bombing in Lahore in Pakistan, I express solidarity with the people of Pakistan in these painful moments,” French president François Hollande tweeted.

US Presidential candidate Donald Trump posted another controversial tweet while condemning the attack on Lahore.

Pakistani leaders also expressed their condolences through Twitter.
