Directives have been issued to health, education and industries departments to conduct a survey of dangerous government buildings and present a report to the provincial government. These orders have been issued by a 10-member technical committee set up by the district government, said an official.
As many as 207 buildings have already been declared dangerous by a survey team in the district which included 193 in Rawal Town, two in Potohar Town and 12 in Gujjar Khan. Six among these were government while the rest were private.
Sources said that Additional District Collector Rawalpindi Tasnim Ali Khan has also sought a report from Rawal Town, Potohar Town and DO buildings about the action taken so far against these buildings.
