PM says Pak-Iran trade volume to increase up to $5billion

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said Pakistan and Iran’s relations are based on mutual respect, culture, and religion.

He said this while addressing the Pakistan-Iran Joint Business Forum in Islamabad on Saturday.

He said it is necessary to meet the challenges of terrorism, energy to achieve the targets of the economy.

Prime Minister said we can move the volume of trade up to five billion dollars. He said the government is taking steps to promote regional relations.

He said that economic revolution in Pakistan will also bring prosperity in the region.

Prime Minister said we are taking effective steps for curbing the terrorism. He said it is very difficult to achieve Quaid’s Pakistan without ending the menace of terrorism.

Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastgir Khan said Pakistan and Iran are enjoying historic and cordial relations.

He said Pakistan wants to provide all out assistance to the Iranian traders.

He said the leadership of both the countries is committed to enhancing their bilateral trade volume up to five billion dollars in the next five years.

Businessmen from both the countries are attending the forum.
