The Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday ordered to remove Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) Director General (DG) Agha Masood Abbas from his post.

While taking up a petition filed by Iftikhar Qaim Khani on Thursday, Justice Amir Hani Muslim remarked that Abbas was not eligible for the post but even then he was appointed as DG.

Justice Qazi Faiz Essa remarked that how could a grade-21 officer present his report to a grade-20 officer, which was also against the office decorum. The counsel for Qaim Khani told the court that Abbas, a grade-20 officer, had been appointed as KBCA DG in the presence of a grade 21 officer. The court while ordering the Sindh government to remove Abbas from post disposed of the petition.

  1. Another of a bold decision by the Appex court aftr removing IGP Sind. This department was another of a Gold Mint for the PPP and PPPP which used to feed the Karachi Bilawal House ( the 90 of PPP).
