Someone in a newspaper wrote that indeed access to good health is a right for all but it is a right that too many people still cannot enjoy today in this country of ours.
My question is: is not access to clean water also a right for all? Why are people silent when Sindh Assembly passes resolutions against Kalabagh dam? Do they also think like those illiterates that KBD will reduce the flow in the Indus when Tarbela dam has in fact increased the flow? Do they also think that Punjab will take too much water from the dam because it is in Punjab? Is AJK taking too much water from Mangla dam? Is KP taking too much power from Tarbela dam?
Until and unless some sane voices are raised in Sindh, access to 6.1 million acres of fresh water will be denied to the people of Pakistan.
