The Punjab Examination Commission has prepared a new policy related to the results of grades five and eight.
According to a source, under the new policy, if the students of both grades fail in one subject, they will be able to pass on. If the students fail in two subjects, they will have to re-appear in the exams; however, they will be promoted to the next class. The students who fail in four subjects will be considered failed and they will not be promoted to the next grade.
The process of paper marking has almost entered the final phase and the compiled results would be forwarded to the Punjab Examination Commission for formal announcement on March 31.
